and then I also wanted to share a favorite black and white.

For my photographer friends, I made this bw specifically for hazey shots since sometimes a bw can be tricky with haze. So you can download it below for free! The layers will let you adjust the level of contrast you’ll need.

First couple started off very hazey

For the one above, I just duplicated the layer and used the “Multiply” blend mode at 100%. I then recropped a smidge and burned the edges a tad.
Below, I did the same thing but afterwards I used curves to raise the skin a bit and add contrast as well as color balance to keep her skin looking right. I did use the sponge tool to increase the color on the background as well as used the dodge tool to enhance the rays of light.

For this BW below, I just did a simple gradient map, used the RGB midpoint to raise curves and added contrast slightly by bringing down the left corner. I then did Selective Color and pulled some of the blacks out of the whites and neutrals, and added a smidge more black to black. I also burned the background and dodged her eyes a tad.
